"In reply to post on another thread: Just joined your site. Thanks for the flagpole plans. I was hoping to find plans for the RV PVC Laundry Ladder. The only one on the web is not very good. I went to The Home Depot today with instruction copy and the guy there had trouble also. I want to make this myself with no help from hubby. Do you think you get a plan that is as clear as the flagpole plans. Thanks Val in MI"
Tricia, thanks so much for doing this. You had the same site as I did. LOL The laundry rack from camping world wouldn't work for us as we don't have a bumper it would fit. I did see that you changed the pvc from 1/2" to 1", can you tell me why, or have you heard it is better. I did go to Home Depot yesterday and bought all the materials but can exchange the pvc before it is cut. I had to buy 3-10' lengths of the pvc and the total for all came to just under $10.00. Again, thanks so much. Val
Oh, it is 1/2". Hmm, I thought that was too thin, so I upped it to 1". I suppose 1/2" would work, but I was thinking on the grounds of a lot of wet laundry and 1/2" not being sturdy enough. Honestly, I don't know though. I suppose 1/2" would work if that's what everyone has been using, but I will adjust the plans to reflect 1/2", 3/4" OR 1" PVC pipe. I'll let the builder decide what thickness. Good luck in your building Val.
I may go back and do the 1", I have a friend who bought one, I will call him and ask what his is. Great job redoing the drawing. I just highlited in 2 different colors and can see it perfectly. Thanks again. Val
Hi Tricia, I made my laundry rack and just came back from a week of camping. It worked great! I made it out of 3/4 as the 1/2 was flimsy. I didn't use any glue either. I put together with a rubber mallet and so far it is holding. I made mine a little bigger and was able to put 4 beach towels, bathing suits and some smaller towels on it. Thanks for making the instructions so I could read and follow.
