So there is this yard toss game very similar to cornhole,as it seems from pictures, and i can find barely any info on it. The game is called Canberra and all i know is that it is from the Australian capitol canberra, i would like to know the rules of the game and the specs so i can make one. I stumbled upon it on a yard game website and i can not remember the website but i do know the URL for where to buy, it has a picture so i thought it might help someone to see if they recognise the game and be able to help me.
Thank You for reading

Thanks for sharing. This game is a cross between Cornhole and Washers. I've done a lot of research online via US and Aussie websites and it's not really mentioned. This leads me to believe one of 2 things. Either it is an Aussie game that has no popularity (at least on the web) OR it is a fictitious name and it isn't from the down under.

Thank you for answering my question, i am glad someone else was wondering why this game has practically no information on it. It is kind of a let done that one of the two outcomes you mention are surely true. The price for the game is lik 30 or 40 dollars and i am really interested in playing it but i am afraid to buy it and have it be real unfun or get it and think wow i would much rather play one of my pther tossing games. Also i wanted to ask if you maybe knew the rules to the game. Well thanks agian and now i am off to play horse shoes
P.S. keep up the good work, i really like your site. It is the best one out there, do you know of some other good tossing sites?

Thank you for your kind words about this site. As for as I know, this site is unique in the aspect that it is the only one that talks about ALL tossing games. As for the rules to Canberra, I'd love to know them too. I would think they would be similar to either Cornhole or washers, but someone will have to buy the game and post the rules so we will all know for sure.

Thank you very much! That would be greatly appreciated. If you send over the plans, rules and pictures, then I will make a new category for that Australian game, since your input will the the most there is currently on the web.

I also need help finding information on where to purchase a tossing game we'd never seen before. We played it at Cobblestone Lodge in Steelville, Mo. It involves tossing these large hard rubber "jacks" ( like ball and jacks) towards a hoop on the ground maybe 20 feet apart. Scoring was based on how many points of the jack were touching the ground inside the hoop, 3 being the most possible with each jack. These jacks of course bounce unpredictably when they hit, and you could knock your opponents jacks out of the hoop. We played this indoors on hard wood, so you could land short and try to slide them up. Lots of fun, skill involved, but enough randomness to keep it interesting. They called it " tippo- toss", but I can't find any response to google searches. Where can these be purchased, and is this the correct name. Thanks.

Wow, that's a good challenge to find. I've spent a day on and off looking to no luck. I've emailed the lodge and haven't received a reply back yet. I would recommend calling the lodge an asking where they got it. There seems to be nothing on the web anywhere for this game. However, I did happen upon a Freecycle post of someone trying to give a set away in the Maryland Heights, MO area, but the ad expired and I could only read a brief portion of it. Let me know if you or anyone else finds out anything. UPDATE: Here is a reply from the lodge: "We’ve had our tippo toss game for many years. I actually doubt that they make them anymore. I have looked around before to purchase a “back-up” set for myself, however, I have had little luck in finding them. Only once did I see a used set on Ebay. If you find a place where they can be bought please let me know. Sorry I am not of much help..
- Lee Jr."
