The Molkky Game is suitable for the whole family. Scoring of the game is recorded on a scorecard. The game is not suitable for children under 3 years old.
Skittles: Numbered 1-12 Tossing Skittle: Molkky Number of Players: 2 or more
Throwing Order: In the first game, toss a coin (or rock, paper scissors) the order. In following games, toss according to the previous game results from lowest to highest scorer.
Scorekeeper: Players take turns acting as scorekeepers. See also "ending the game"
Beginning the game: Form a tight group of skittles (see diagrams below for layout) 10-13 feet from the tossing place. First player throws at the grouping. Molkky is always throwin underhand.
Fallen skittle: A skittle is not considered fallen if it is leaning on another skittle or on the molkky tossing skittle. After a toss, fallen skittle are upgrighted at the place where they fell.
Scoring: If one skittle falls, the score = the number on the skittle. When more than one fall, the score = the number of fallen skittles.
Ending the game: If a player misses (has no score) three times in a row, he/she is out of the game and acts as the scorekeeper. The game ends when the first player reaches exactly 50 points. If one scores over 40, that player's score is lowered to 25.

Does anyone know the rules on the actual tossing line? Basically, if you are playing in a big open field and you have the line set up.... how long does it stretch - can you go as far as you like horizontally?
My brother tried to dupe my inevitable victory! One of the pegs had gone flying off to the side and I walked along the line to throw straight at it rather than throw it miles off to the side. He argued that the throwing line is only a metre or so wide and i couldn't step further along to the side.
For the record, I nailed it anyway from his stupid line and won the game! Need to find out for future reference though.

The throwing (tossing) line's front is about ~ 24 inches (60 cm) wide and the sides are ~ 12 inches deep (30 cm). You must stand in this area when tossing each time, not moving out of the zone. See the guy in the frame here:

Your scoring is incorrect. When multiple skittle fall you score the numbers on the skittles PLUS the number of skittles to fall.

Unfortunately I would have to disagree with you. MANY, well, let me rephrase, ALL sites state the same thing, and I quote: "When multiple pins are knocked down they score 1 POINT PER PIN. If only one pin is knocked down, the player scores the number ON THE PIN." -- admin

To quote from the Wikipedia page on Mollky:
Knocking over one pin scores the amount of points marked on the pin. In addition, knocking 2 or more pins scores the number of pins knocked over (e.g., knocking over 3 pins scores 3 points)
Note the 'in adittion'.
This scoring system makes for much more tactical throwing.
