SPIN IT GAME RUBBER BOLOS REVIEW:
This weekend we had put in a lot of time playing this game at our annual family camping trip. I want to point out one opinion that myself and other in my family agree on 100%. The string length between the bolas are "too long". True, with the length, you can get a double ringer and almost always land points, but also you will encounter the biggest headache in the word trying to unwind the intertwined strings due to them being a big tangled mess. This is especially notable when unpacking the game to get it ready to be set up for play. We must have spent a good 20 minutes trying to seperate the bolas from one another.
But, need not worry, there is a EASY FIX for this problem. The string which is threaded through the child safe weighted rubber bolas can be easily shortened. We recommend shortening the string distance between the balls to 11" each, which is the same distance that the patented Ladder Golf game uses between their golf ball bolas. This WILL eliminate any double ringers (not a big deal with us), but inturn, almost eliminate the spider web of mixed and tangle strings both before and during play, PLUS make it a bit more challenging.
The manufacturer of this game seems to have left it up to the buyer to make this decision on the length of the strings, since as stated above, you can easily pull the string through the rubber ball to your desired length, cut the end, tie a new knot and finally use a flame to melt the end of the knot.
Overall, I give these bolos two thumbs up due to the weight, safeness and the option to adjust the string length.
